Steve Krumnaker (SteveK) is a seasoned executive serving the Landscape Industry. With more than two decades of hands-on experience leading finance and operations at some of the industry’s most recognized names — including BrightView, ValleyCrest, Scapes, and TruGreen Landcare — Steve brings a rare combination of field-level credibility and executive-grade rigor to every engagement. During his tenure, each of these companies experienced accelerated growth of 200–300%.
His career has been defined by one consistent outcome: clarity that drives results. Whether navigating high-stakes acquisitions, scaling multi-branch operations, or rebuilding financial systems from the ground up, Steve has a proven ability to translate complex financial realities into decisions that
operators can actually act on.
Steve’s approach is grounded in systems thinking. He built and led enterprise-wide financial reporting platforms, designed branch management training programs focused on profitability, and directed pre- and post-acquisition integration efforts across markets nationwide. He is known for making complex financial concepts accessible — using the right metrics and KPIs while remaining sensitive to the impact process changes have on culture, employees, and customers.
Steve holds a B.S. in Business Management from WGU, an AI Mastery Certification (Mindvalley, CPD Accredited), and certifications in Project Management, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing. Outside of work, he’s an avid road cyclist, tennis player, and longtime contributor to youth leadership organizations.
